Formatting text as bold when unread and normal when read

Question

Hello,&nbsp;I have an announcements component where I usually use html to add links, images etc. Currently this is filled with a list of links of posts I want to highlight, such as:&nbsp;&lt;a href="http://fr.community.norton.com/t5/Norton-Internet-Security-Norton/Nouvelle-Gamme-Norton-disponible/m-p/55380#U55380" target="_blank"&gt;Nouvelle Gamme Norton Disponible ! [en savoir plus]&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&nbsp;What I would like is that all links on the page display in bold until they have been clicked on by the user, so that when I add a new link to the list the user realises that there is new unread content in it.&nbsp;Any clues as to how this can be done?&nbsp;Thank you

If this is a link - have you tried using the CSS pseudo classes for the anchor attribute? There is an example on the W3 School website&nbsp;

In addition to what Paolo mentioned, one thing that might be helpful is to check the read status of that message for the user via the REST API:
http://lithosphere.lithium.com/t5/rest-api/bd-p/developers-rest-api?leaf-id=Message.read#Message.read
&nbsp;
With that info at hand, you could set your own class on the link, allowing you to more easily target it for styling.
