Knowledge base options in the Community

Hi All,

We didn't have any knowledge base in the Community and even we can able to see in the Community Structure if we expanded it.  We can still able to see KB icon in the Structure.

Attaching the screenshot for your reference. Is there any admin setting changes need to perform to resolve this issue.

  • Hi AbhishekIlindra,

when you create a new forum ("project" in your case), Lithium also creates a hidden TKB for that board. If you are not linking your forum to that TKB, the TKB node will never be shown in your navigation or search results.

For a better understanding, you can take a look at the Community Administrator > Discussion Styles > Tribal Knowledge Base > Tribal Knowledge Base for Forum Topics. There you see different options to link your forum topics to TKB. As you can see, there exist an option which will link your forum to the automatically created TKB node.

I hope, these information can help you. If not, feel free to ask for more details. :)

    Best regards,

    Christian

  • cike : Thanks for your update, If we select the option to none the issue will be resolved right. If it is the right approach so existing TKB icon in the Community structure will disappear or we need to make any changes

You're right AbhishekIlindra. Select none if you want the TKB icon to disappear. If you have multiple forums, you will have to set the TKB value to none for each of them.

    Additional changes were needed.

    Christian

cike : We need to navigate to each category and do it manually or is there anyway to applicable it to entire community.

AbhishekIlindra You can try to set the none value for your entire community:

Select your Community node in your structure tree (it is selected as default when opening the Community Administrator). Then navigate to the settings I mentioned in my first post and set the value to none.

If this do not work, you have to set the value for each board in your community.
