Lithium to Salesforce.com connector

Hi All,

 

I am looking to identify the following:

 

  1. When using the standard Lithium to Salesforce.com connector, can we add to its functionality i.e. can we add a new field for it to pull into Salesforce.com without having to resort to a custom solution?
  2. If we have to use the Rest API to configure this, do we have to re-write the complete functionality of the Lithium to Salesforce.com connector as custom code to then bolt in the new fields we are capturing?

Any help on this would be a great help as I am looking to asses feasibility for pulling additional data into Salesforce.com for cases and how much work it would be to pull in an additional field...

    Hi Andy -- You're able to set the default value for up to 9 additional fields (fields beyond those the integration populates automatically) from the community admin console.  For example, you can specify that the Salesforce case "priority" field should always be set to "high".  If you want to do something more advanced, our Services team may be able to extend the feature for you.
