Permission set for a Discussion in the Community

Hi,

As per my understanding it is not available in the Community. Is it possible to keep a Discussion (Thread) only visible for Admins and Moderators.

Is there any settings available in the Community.

Thanks in Advance,

Abhishek Illindra

  • Hi AbhishekIlindra,

you could use the pattern of a private board for this:

    • Create a new board which is hidden from all lists and menus and is only accessible by your required roles.
    • Move the thread to this board

Check this link for more information.

Finally, the board/thread can accessed by permitted roles/users only and will not by listed within search results or API request in custom components (except the current user has a permitted role)

    Best regards,

    Christian

No. You can't set permissions for single thread only. The "smallest" element you're able to handle different permissions are boards (forum, tkb, blog, ...)

If you want to expose certain information to only a specific role on each board then you would normally use a custom component or the "Custom Content" feature in combination with a role check.
