API v2 Search doesn't work
Reading this page, I quote: "In v2, perform a one-or-more term search with a comma-separated list of terms wrapped in parentheses. Use this when you want to return messages that have at least one of these terms in the defined fields. WHERE subject MATCHES ('apples', 'bananas', 'cherries')" This query returns 2 results: select subject, body from messages where subject matches 'attachment' This query returns 0 results. select subject, body from messages where subject matches ('attachment','android') According to the documentation I should be getting results. Fair to say that it's not WAI?1.1KViews0likes9CommentsWhere do I store a large amount of data, for reference?
Hi folks, planning a custom component which will basically check the user's id against a pre-existing list. I imagine this list could grow into the thousands. What are my options for storing this data/list? One option I use for smaller datasets is a hidden post and simply store it as a comma separated string. Another option might be to store a string in a custom metadata field, I guess? Any ideas how large that could be? (I don't have access to a separate server.)800Views2likes5CommentsList of all blog articles across the Community, but excepting one or more categories
I'd like to create a custom page that lists all blog articles across the site, but excepts one or more categories. Display parameters (e.g., ORDER BY) are less important than excepting the archives. Has anyone done this? It would be a boost for SEO, as well as a list per se.Solved790Views0likes22CommentsLogging a user out not working
Hello, I'm currently developing a solution to log out a user from the community sessions automatically. I followed the API Reference here: https://developer.khoros.com/khoroscommunitydevdocs/reference/authsignout I am currently getting the correct response of the user being signed out of all sessions but when I go to the community forums with my test user I can still see the user logged in. This is the json response that I am receiving: { "status":"success", "message":"", "data": { "signed_off_all_sessions":true, "id":"#######" } } Context: we do use a cookie for our users to log into the community site if they are logged into our site. But I have made sure to just be logged into the community site without said cookie when trying this call out. Any help would be welcomed.786Views0likes12CommentsTrying to use occasion_data.status
I have a simple liql query where I'm pulling in all upcoming and ongoing (in progress) events. According to this doc there should be an object for occasion_data.status in the results. It's working within my query "WHERE occasion_data.status IN ('upcoming','ongoing')" but I get a null value if I try to use it in my FreeMarker template (e.g., <#assign eventStatus = listItems.occasion_data.status/>) Anyone know why? Did they miss adding this? Am I reading the doc wrong? Is my code incorrect somewhere?769Views0likes13CommentsOnline User Count is Completely Wrong
I'm trying to get an accurate count of online users and it's quite obvious the count is completely wrong just by looking at the results I'm encountering on my staging environment. The LIQL query used is fairly simple: SELECT count(*) FROM users WHERE online_status='online' Given the number of people who access our staging server, I would expect the result of this to be a low single digit number. Instead, I got a result of over 30 users. So I dug into the API results: SELECT login,last_visit_time FROM users WHERE online_status='online' The results list users with last visit times from 2020 and 2021 as well as users from earlier in 2022 that I know for a fact aren't online. How is Khoros defining an "online user" here? Is the behavior I'm seeing a bug or expected behavior?720Views2likes9CommentsDefault bio widget doen't work for plain Users and can't parse it from DB for plain Users
Hi folks. Need the help of the community brain. Found out that the default user bio widget, which parse User description from the settings doesn't work for plain Users except of Admins. So I decided to write my own component to parse that info from DB. Here is the code: <#include "theme-lib.common-variables.ftl" /> <#if user.registered > <#assign qry = "SELECT biography FROM users WHERE id = '${user.id}'"?url /> <#assign res = rest('2.0', '/search?q=${qry}') /> </#if> <@liaAddScript> ;(function() { const messageElement = document.querySelector('.lia-component-article'); if (!messageElement) return; <#if user.registered> <#if ( res.status?matches('success') && (res.data.size > 0) )> <#assign output = res.data.items[0].biography?esc /> const selectors = { main: '.lia-quilt-row-main', wrapper: '.lia-quilt-column-alley-single', ref: '#labelsForMessage', bio: 'custom-widget-user-bios' }; const parent = messageElement.querySelector(selectors.main + ' ' + selectors.wrapper); const refEl = messageElement.querySelector(selectors.ref); let p = document.createElement('p'); p.classList.add(selectors.bio); p.textContent = '${output}'; console.log(messageElement, refEl) parent.insertBefore(p, refEl); </#if> </#if> }()); </@liaAddScript> It Does work with Admins, but again, does not work with plain Users somewhy. It throw an exception in the console: <div style="font-style: italic; font-weight: lighter; color: darkGrey; background-color: Beige; padding: 10px;" class="lia-widget-not-found"> This widget could not be displayed. </div> Help me pls, what's going wrong with that user bio widget and Data i wanna parse it to the view by myself. Also I didn't find any flag in the admin that could representatively control that feature and enable/disable it.709Views1like3CommentsliqlAdmin in khoros aurora graphql API
Hi Folks, I want to add roles to the users using graphQL API given below. const ADD_USER_ROLE_MUTATION = gql` mutation addUsersToRole($roleKey: RoleKeyInput!, $users: [UserIdInput!]!) { addUsersToRole(roleKey: $roleKey, users: $users) { result { id name } } } `; const [addUserRole] = useMutation(ADD_USER_ROLE_MUTATION); addUserRole({ variables: { roleKey: { roleName: "role" }, users: [{ id: userId }] } }); The issue I am facing is that when this mutation is executed by an Admin user, the role is successfully added to the target user. However, when the same mutation is executed by a normal user, it fails to add the role due to permission denied errors. Is there a parameter or keyword that can be used in this mutation to allow a normal user to update their own roles or self-related data? For example, in Khoros Classic, we can use the liqlAdmin keyword in REST API requests to bypass such permissions. Is there an equivalent for GraphQL in Khoros Aurora? Thanks in Advance.Solved701Views0likes12CommentsHandling the upcoming LIMIT and OFFSET changes
You might be aware of the upcoming changes to LIMIT and OFFSET having a maximum value of 1000 in 23.12. Obviously this is likely to cause a problem to any custom components that loop through data such as messages. Cursor will work fine in some scenarios, but any kind of custom pagination will need UI/UX work to access records greater than 2000! Using cursor we'd only be able to move forward and not skip to page 1000 for example. Any other thoughts on how this could be achieved with CURSOR?!690Views2likes11Comments
