Is there a way to turn off user's ability to delete private messages in Community? Moderators need to be able to see user's PMs for abuse reports, but if they were deleted it looks like we'd have to file a support ticket to recover deleted PMs. We'd prefer to not let users have the ability to delete their PMs.
You could always “hide” or disable the trigger for the PM delete operation.
While this is only obscuring the function most users won’t have the required skills to determine the URL or event required to activate the delete operation.
Yeah that is what we ended up doing for this, I just wanted to see if maybe there was a permission or something I wasn't seeing that we could use to avoid users potentially finding the hidden button. I think this will work fine, though.
Nice. Yeah not ideal, a permission really should be available for this.
