About Aurora Communities spam management
Khoros is committed to making sure that your communities serve up the highest-value content to your community members. To meet that promise, we continue to look for ways to help you combat spam.
Aurora Community spam management tools run in the background where each new message is logged and tested for spam. Additionally, our system learns about your site content as it monitors all your boards and forums, enabling it to improve its content filtering over time.
Admins and moderators can manually mark any posts or replies to the posts as spam using the Reject > Spam option available in the Options menu for respective posts or replies:
If any post or reply is mistakenly marked as spam, you can recover it on the respective page itself by clicking the Mark as Not Spam option:
The spam management tools automatically test posts against a complex set of rules. All posts classified as spam are moved into a Spam management page where admins and moderators can review and recover the spammed posts if needed.
All posts classified as spam are moved to the Content Management dashboard Spam tab. Admins and moderators can review and recover the spammed posts if needed:
With spam management tools, you can:
- Reject individual posts as spam
- Review posts that are marked as spam
- Recover posts that are mistakenly marked as spam
- Hide posts that are marked as spam
- Search for specific content in the Spam Management page
Note: Spam posts are removed from view after 30 days on the Spam management list, but you can still find them by searching for them.
