Wow! This place looks dynamite :)
I just want to say congratulations to Andy and the larger Lithium team on the best redesign (or, rather, current design) of our community that I've ever seen. I love the new UI organization / layout, the new structure (boards, blogs, etc), and the navigation elements; search in the way upper righthand corner, the clean navigation in the header, and widely-spaced clear breadcrumb, and lots of other things I'm just discovering. Seriously, this is great. Kudos.22KViews18likes19CommentsDid you know: Floating your favourite discussion styles
As many of you know, the Lithium Platform has been around for quite a few years now and has lots of features. Sometimes, people tend to forget about features that are actually quite handy. In this case, I wanted to call out a feature that has been in the platform for years but I had forgotten about it, mainly because I have worked on a lot of communities in recent years that have customized landing pages etc. Did you know you can float a Discussion Style Node (Forum, Blog, TKB, Idea Exchange, Q&A, Contests and Groups)? Simply browse to your favourite areas, go to the node level (e.g. board) options and choose “Float this item to the top”. This area will now appear at the top of your board listings. To remove floated discussion styles, follow the same process. Go to the Options at the top of the page and the option will have changed to Unfloat this Item. This purpose of this feature varies; for example, expert users may want their areas to reach product managers who would like to monitor their own areas of expertise among others. Should you have any questions about this feature, please do not hesitate to ask. Additionally, please expound upon any frequently used features or features you feel are under-utilized. Would love to hear from you.3.6KViews10likes1CommentRegistration process makes no sense?
Unless we are missing it on our team, the registration process for Atlas is the most confusing ever. I've gone through this with 3 new folks who I have told to "Go register at Khoros" and they get lost. 1) A new user who has absolutely no idea what any of this is must first make a choice 2) Once they probably get to the "sign in" option they must make yet another choice, again, remember, this user has little to no idea what "Khoros" is 3) Okay, so clearly I am not marketing after trying all of that (Why is marketing the default/first choice?), so I finally choose "all other users" - Now I am stuck. Why? Because there is still no "Registration" button..... Oh wait... it is truly there, it's just below the fold.... but you can't see that in my screenshot, just as nobody else would. Thanks for attending my 8am Stan talk.1.4KViews5likes4CommentsUnable to post due to invalid HTML, despite only using WYSIWYG editor
I used the WYSIWYG editor to add a link, then used the "globe" icon to show the raw link (instead of the auto-suggested title of the linked page). I also added an image. I was then unable to publish my content due to invalid HTML. See screenshot. FWIW - I love the "Show URL" feature - but it needs to work!48Views3likes3CommentsCan't tell what is a link and what isn't
I keep getting confused on the Atlas home page feed - there are light grey items included in the feed that are links (username, timestamp of latest activity) and light grey things that conceivably could be links (node name, unread count) that aren't: Ideally all of these would be links. But if they can't be, can the styling at least be adjusted to distinguish between links and non-links?40Views3likes2CommentsCase Portal: Bar across the top looks like a search bar
I'm on a roll w/ Case Portal feedback... (see Case Portal feedback: "Clear filters" button is poorly placed | Atlas ) - here's another UI oddity that got me today: The bar across the top, which just has the count of cases in it, really looks like it could be a search bar. I have found myself trying to type into it a few times. See screenshot.35Views2likes2CommentsWrong font for content mentions
The styling for the font used for content mentions is overwriting the default font of the community with FontAwesome (the font that is necessary for the interaction style icon in front only). See this content mention as an example: Content Mentions - No email notification? This is actually a platform bug so would be great to get it fixed on the base responsive skin.3.9KViews2likes4CommentsCase Portal: Reply textbox is way too short
The "Reply" textbox on case portal cases is SUPER short - it makes it very difficult to write more than a couple lines of text. You have to scroll up and down to see what you wrote. Could you please make it taller - or, at least, resizable?22Views1like2CommentsAt certain widths, Maia covers up important buttons
At certain screen widths, the Maia icon in the lower right covers up important buttons (such as "Publish") almost completely. See screenshot - which shows in light blue the iframe that almost completely covers the Publish button. The URL of the page in the screenshot is: Atlas Suggestions | Atlas (but there are other pages where I have noticed this as well). The screen width is 1165px Recommendation: Position Maia so that she doesn't cover up important functionality! (or relocate the "Publish" buttons so they're not aligned to the bottom-right of the window, but I imagine that's harder)57Views1like6CommentsHTACCESS alert and dev url on Documentation
