In response to Meta’s recent deprecation of certain metrics outlined here https://developers.facebook.com/docs/instagram-platform/reference/instagram-media/insights, we’ve standardized how views are reported across all Instagram post types—including carousels and reels. What’s Changing: Instagram Reels views will now appear under the Impressions column to align with Meta’s updated data model. This change ensures consistency across all post types for easier reporting and analysis. No Impact to Engagement Metrics: Engagement and Engagement Rate (ER) calculations remain unchanged. Your reporting logic and benchmarks can continue as is. Note: Impression metrics between March 19th and April 10th may not have been fetched as expected due to a temporary issue. The data was successfully backfilled on April 11th, however reports covering this time frame may show gaps or incomplete metrics. We recommend rechecking your dashboards or re-exporting reports if you’re analyzing data from this period.
