I just want to say congratulations to Andy and the larger Lithium team on the best redesign (or, rather, current design) of our community that I've ever seen.  I love the new UI organization / layout, the new structure (boards, blogs, etc), and the navigation elements;  search in the way upper righthand corner, the clean navigation in the header, and widely-spaced clear breadcrumb, and lots of other things I'm just discovering.   Seriously, this is great.  Kudos.

You know what would be really cool? If I could submit a support case without getting the absolutely unhelpful "your post couldn't be submitted because of invalid html code" error. First - why is it I can't submit a post if I use bold, underline, or bullets? Totally ridiculous. Second - if you won't let me use any or one of the above, WHY IS IT IN THE TEXT EDITOR AS AN OPTION? Third - thanks for making me solve the mystery of whatever html code isn't accepted, instead of yielding an actually helpful error message. I totally have time in my day for this nonsense.
I didn't see any other forums for fun or off-topic stuff, so hopefully this is the closest match 🙂  If not, please move it to the right place.  Anyway, I just got a fun CM themed shirt today and thought you guys might appreciate it:

We just launched an alpha functionality for highlighting influencers within the Lithium Community, and we’d love to get your feedback!   When you are logged in to our community, you’ll notice new components on the community, category, forum topic and profile pages that contain calls to action to connect your community profile to Klout.   Upon clicking Connect, you’ll be invited to join or login to Klout with your Facebook or Twitter account. Follow the instructions on screen to confirm your connected status.   Once your community profile is connected to Klout, a "Connected" status icon will display on your profile page, next to your username. Hovering over the icon will display your Klout score, as well as the networks you are active on. Please note that this user information will only display to other users who are logged in – it will not show to anonymous users.   If you haven’t already done so, we encourage you to login to the community and join or login to Klout via the new components to start seeing your score and connected networks reflected in your community profile.   And if you ever decide you do not want to display all of your social network profiles, or want to disconnect your community profile from Klout, you can easily do so by login in to Klout and navigating to Settings > Networks   We look forward to your thoughts on this alpha functionality – and don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any questions!

As many of you know, the Lithium Platform has been around for quite a few years now and has lots of features. Sometimes, people tend to forget about features that are actually quite handy.  In this case, I wanted to call out a feature that has been in the platform for years but I had forgotten about it, mainly because I have worked on a lot of communities in recent years that have customized landing pages etc.   Did you know you can float a Discussion Style Node (Forum, Blog, TKB, Idea Exchange, Q&A, Contests and Groups)?   Simply browse to your favourite areas, go to the node level (e.g. board) options and choose “Float this item to the top”. This area will now appear at the top of your board listings.     To remove floated discussion styles, follow the same process. Go to the Options at the top of the page and the option will have changed to Unfloat this Item.   This purpose of this feature varies; for example, expert users may want their areas to reach product managers who would like to monitor their own areas of expertise among others.   Should you have any questions about this feature, please do not hesitate to ask. Additionally, please expound upon any frequently used features or features you feel are under-utilized. Would love to hear from you.

Hi Team, I have found a very strange bug today, I think which need to be fixed asap in the Lithium community. Attached is the screenshot of the bug. Today when I was reviewing one of my idea from App, there are few comments added by @DerekG and @DanK to this idea and in the bottom of every comment I am seeing accept as solution link.  I was accessible to accept the idea and mark it as solution, where as there is no feature where we can accept it as solution for a product Idea and have the permissions to accept it. Please look into this bug and let me know if you need any help from me.   Thanks Parshant

This is a feature request. I'm not sure where feature requests should go. An integration that enables Lithium to work with industry standard technical communication tools (such as Madcap Flare) would be ideal. Either that or information on your recommended ways of doing that would be good. I've yet to see any information about publishing content on Lithium from industry standard technical communication tools such as Madcap Flare.

Any reason why Atlas isn't using the new PM experience?  In general I'd love to see Atlas show off all of the new features I guess? Dogfooding is good after-all and since a customer 'demo' site doesn't exist implementing new features in Atlas allows me and other CM's to learn more, see it works etc... Its good for you, and good for us 🙂

As I sat in the developer track classes at LiNC I noticed a familiar expression of the faces of several others who sat around me: excitement and intrigue mixed with a strong look on confusion. Shiny new features... but how do I make it happen!? As one of those wearing that face, I think I know why. Some of us Lithium customers wear A LOT of hats. We're the community manager, moderator, graphic designer, trainer, developer, and many other things. We would love to be able to focus on just one of those things and be a total expert - but that wouldn't be possible. It leaves us an expert in some things, an intermediate in most, and a total newbie in some critical elements.   I think many of us can agree that Studio and all things coding tends to be the most difficult. As evident from the developer track and conversations with several Lithium developers, proficiency in Studio and necessary programming languages is a career all in it's own. I'm fairly sure I'm not the only Lithium customer who often finds themselves sifting through dozens and dozens of Developer Community posts trying to make sense of where this code goes, why, and exactly what am I reading. I'm probably also not the only one who has broken their community so badly in stage they held their breath until a rollback actual loaded correctly. I know we can post in the developer community, but I think we're reluctant to clutter that workspace with how-to questions.   So, I'd like to suggest an intermediate developer community of sorts. I'd love to see more articles aimed at folks who know how to make changes in Studio, but aren't sure how to work with intricate code; articles on how to make some easy refreshes to the appearance of your community (changing color, logos, headers); and intros to how to write Rest API for components. Can we make it happen?

Hi all! I see that Customer Meet-up's have gained popularity in Europe, and am wondering if there are plans to introduce a similar group/forum/area for customer's across regions in the US & Canada (@JulieHamel ) as well?  I am based out of the Denver region, and would love the opportunity to collaborate/network with other Lithium customers close by... even if its just a small group of passionate community pro's getting together for coffee every once in awhile 😉   With the lack of a full-out customer conference (Linc) in the US this year,  I bet more customers would be interested (and willing) to begin forming their own regional user groups.  I am in the process of exploring starting my own Community User Group for Denver/Boulder folks (whether that be through CMX, meet-up, or some other platform) and figured it was worth checking to see if this was something Lithium was already thinking about.  I would be happy to organize and host events at my office, as well (we currently host Agile and C++ meet-up's twice a month)!
I think I may have ranked up to Advisor rank.   Anyone else seeing a similar issue in their notifications?

Unless we are missing it on our team, the registration process for Atlas is the most confusing ever. I've gone through this with 3 new folks who I have told to "Go register at Khoros" and they get lost. 1) A new user who has absolutely no idea what any of this is must first make a choice 2) Once they probably get to the "sign in" option they must make yet another choice, again, remember, this user has little to no idea what "Khoros" is 3) Okay, so clearly I am not marketing after trying all of that (Why is marketing the default/first choice?), so I finally choose "all other users" - Now I am stuck.  Why? Because there is still no "Registration" button..... Oh wait... it is truly there, it's just below the fold.... but you can't see that in my screenshot, just as nobody else would.   Thanks for attending my 8am Stan talk.

Hi,   I got feedback/idea: You are writing message and during that time somebody writes new post to same thread --> you get notification that there is new message and you can read it or you can post without reading it.   This feature reduces double answers to same question (if people look at what new there is written) and so on.   Thanks!

It seems with the recent update to the email templates for support cases, the link to the case in the portal is no longer provided. I know you can reply directly to the emails to update the case, but often I like to click through to see the case's full details and comment history. The link in the email was the most efficient way to get there.   Thanks!

Hi Team,   We observed a bug in the Community Search Page. If we had any replies to the thread it will display as "Show results in replies/Comments". If the reply link contains any link or mention the UI of the page is disturbing and if contains plain text it is working as expected. Attaching the Screenshot for your reference.     Thanks, Abhishek Illindra

Just had a question about Klout, but can't find a space here on the LithosphereLithium Community to post it. I would appreciate any points since Bing didn't know anything about a Klout Community elsewhere either.
