They didn't need to earn a badge to "prove it". I suppose it depends on the use case, but I think gamification for employees is equally as important as it is for other members of the community. Typically we'd want to make sure employees feel rewarded for their contributions as well (outside of, you know, a paycheck). The middle ground here is probably to create some tailored gamification elements that apply only to those with the employee role. Which, of course, lends even more credibility to the idea that we'd want to be able to exclude specific roles from a subset of badges. You have my kudo on your idea. 🙂
