Hi Khoros team, I have found an bug in platform today, as when I was trying to post something in private message, error says your number of limit to send messages is reached, where I have not even sent a single message from a long time. Steps to reproduce: you can add any content inside the body, can keep html and images as well. This will firstly throw an error as HTML content found in messages, but you really don't know which text content contains html, as I have typed plain text inside the body message. I have uploaded images from text editor itself and that's it. After clicking on submit this throws me error for 3 times, and then there is new message appears as your limit is reached to sent PM. which is actually not true. I have checked my inbox/sent, there was no new messages. Can you check the limit API conditions so it doesn't count the submission of posting the message on failures or error.209Views4likes4CommentsAutomatically loading of user's "@" handle in the reply box when the Reply button is clicked.
Hi. I have a query regarding @Mentions. When we click on the Reply button on any content page is there any way to automatically populate the OOB reply box with the @ handle of the user to whom we are replying? For example here - The current functionality is that we have to type '@' and then the suggestion for that username comes up. Can this be automated or if a button be added to the above options which if clicked will add the mention directly in the box? 1. I would like to know if I can achieve this by customizing an already existing Admin setting in the community, or if an admin setting can be added for it. 2. Or doing something like that will require a customization of the OOB reply box component or functionality. 3. If it is achievable by changing the OOB functionality then what steps should be followed and would it be a good approach? Please let me know. Hi. We're switching SSO things around to an Azure B2C setup, and it's all working EXCEPT for Role Mapping. Previous, Role Mapping was configured in: http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2005/05/identity/claims/role Apparently w/ B2C restrictions, we had to use a different path, so I mapped to that: http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2005/05/identity/claims/extension_role Is there any way to debug to see what value is being passed in here when a user signs in? Our new AzureAD B2C authentication solution needs the the SAML metadata to be publicly accessible. The HTACCESS auth prevents this. Notes: None of our content is publicly accessible - all behind a login. Registrations are disabled. Hello Khoros Community, I've been working with the Khoros API, specifically using the combined endpoint (/api/public/reports/report/combined), to export data for specific date ranges. I've encountered an issue that I hope someone here might help clarify. Issue: When exporting data for certain days (e.g., August 18th, 2023) using the mentioned endpoint, the returned data contains entries from dates outside of the specified range, such as September 10th, 2023. (Created Date) Details: I am using the epoch milliseconds format for the startTime and endTime query parameters. For instance, for August 18th, 2023, I've verified the following: startTime: 1692331200000 (corresponding to 2023-08-18 00:00:00 UTC) endTime: 1692417599000 (corresponding to 2023-08-18 23:59:59 UTC) Other mandatory parameters like companyKey are set correctly. The reportFormat is set to JSON. The requests seem to be structured correctly based on the API documentation and are being sent to the aforementioned endpoint. Despite setting the date ranges correctly, the exported data includes entries from dates outside of the requested range. I've double-checked the epoch timestamps, the request structure, and the endpoint, and everything seems to be in order. Has anyone else encountered a similar issue with this endpoint? Is there something I might be overlooking in how the API interprets date ranges, or any known quirks that could explain this behavior? Any insights, guidance, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!vmann2 years agoContributor66Views0likes0Commentsonly show component if tkb article has a specific label

Viewing Accepted Solutions Metrics The Lithium system collects metrics on the number of solutions that are accepted or revoked, who authored the solution, who accepted it, and who revoked the acceptance. Using this data, the system calculates the net number of accepted solutions for the community as a whole, for solutions that came from the question's author, and for solutions that came from all other members of the community. User/role metrics are recorded in one-hour installments for any hour in which accepted solutions activity occurs for the selected users or roles. If you choose users as the scope, you can report on an individual user or get a summary for up to 50 users. If you choose roles as the scope, you can choose one role or get a summary of all roles. These accepted solutions metrics are available for both nodes and users/roles. The per-node version of each metric measures the number of times the event occurs for a forum, category, or community. The user/role version of each metric measures the number of times the event occurs for a user or a role. For example, the accepted_solutions metric can tell you the number of times messages were accepted as solutions in a specific forum or for any users with a specific role. I need to create a page on a third-party product which pulls data from Community regarding a particular user. Khoros does provide APIs to fetch this data. But, would it be the best way to achieve so? Hi All, After a bit of digging around, although not officially supported by Lithium yet I've worked out the process to install and use the Lithium Community SDK natively on Windows, the process is relatively straightforward as you'll see below, however it does take a little while for the dependencies to compile. This works for Windows 7, 8 and 10: Install the latest stable version of NodeJS LTS (version 8.x) at the time of writing this post. Open Windows PowerShell as an Admin (right click and select Run as Administrator) run the following commands in powershell: npm install --production windows-build-tools (note this will take a while to complete). npm install -g gulp npm install -g lithium-sdk After you finish the steps above, close PowerShell and re-open it as a regular user and you can continue to work as normal with the typical commands. Hello, I am inexperienced with Khoros, and am looking for a way to export a list of users from Khoros Community. I foundhttps://community.khoros.com/t5/Policies-and-Guidelines/Personal-Data-Inventory-for-Khoros-Subscription-Services/ta-p/456001#toc-hId-284456057,but am struggling on where to find information on querying the user directory and exporting user fields. I foundhttps://developer.khoros.com/khoroscommunitydevdocs/reference/email, as well ashttps://developer.khoros.com/khoroscommunitydevdocs/docs/gdpr-support. Is there a different route to take to pull a list of all users? At minimum, my goal is to export a list of user's email addresses from Khoros, but would also like to include other details (first/last name, last login date, login name, etc). Thank you! -Davedmlong2 years agoContributor113Views0likes1CommentAs far as anyone knows is there a way to transfer posts, etc., from PROD to STAGE
Has anyone come up with a script to do this? Querying Production and Posting to stage with either curl or the API? It would just be nice to be able to populate more and more realistic content on the Stage instance. Or even just to post articles programmatically? There's the REST API https://developer.khoros.com/khoroscommunitydevdocs/reference/rest But I don't see where the body of the messagePostBody goes. Example: POST (Create): <#assign subject = http.request.parameters.name.get("subject", "") /> <#if subject?length gt 0> <#-- Build the requestBody parameter and assign it to a variable--> <#assign messagePostBody = { "type": "message", "subject": subject, "board": { "type": "board", "id": "Otis" } } /> <#-- Make your REST call --> <#assign resp = rest("2.0", "/messages", "POST", messagePostBody) /> ${apiv2.toJson(resp)} <#else> { "status": "error", "message": "no subject parameter passed." } </#if> Do I just add a "body" member property to that messagePostBody with whatever the body of the message is? Or is there some esoteric way of doing it? For the example given, PUT: <#assign messagePostBody = { "type": "message", "id": "34", "subject": "How do I post a REST API message?" } /> There's a subject, a type, an id, but no body. How do I add body content? Or do I have to use cURLas noted here in "recipes"? Does one need to authenticate using cURL? Can it be done within components? A lot of this seems vague. There's not a lot of context I can find. Most recipes have instructions for what to do with the ingredients ... https://developer.khoros.com/khoroscommunitydevdocs/recipes/create-a-new-message-with-products Do we run this in Freemarker? How? Do we create a component? Do we use authentication? How? In a terminal? With a fox? In a box? With green eggs and ham? 😉 This would be very helpful information. These "recipes" assume a lot of knowledge about how to use cURL within the Khoros Community that isn't provided. I would love to run this in a component. But there's no information nearby that explains that. Please clarify? A lot? Complete examples in the context of the Community product would make all the difference. curl --request POST \ --url https://community-domain/api/2.0/messages \ --header 'Accept: application/json' \ --header 'Content-Type: application/json' { "data": { "type": "message", "board": { "id": "runningShoes" }, "subject": "Alternative to Nike Revolution Running Shoes", "body": "I have the Nike Revolution Shoes and got the Reebok Protonium shoes, but it feels very stiff while running - not much comfort/cushion while running and uncomfortable. I originally switched to Saucony because it was very comfortable and lightweight. suggestions for Saucony running shoes for women? I run only about 10mi/wk. <li-image id=\"336i254DB2339\"/>", "tags": { "items": [ { "text": "trail running" }, { "text": "running shoes" } ] }, "labels": { "items": [ { "id": "RunningShoes", "text": "Running Shoes" }, { "id": "Suggestions", "text": "Suggestions" } ] }, "products": { "items": [ { "id": "54" }, { "id": "56" } ], "list_item_type": "product" } } } Thanks, just rather unclear on the documentation around this.Solved516Views0likes13CommentsCan we constrain LiQL WHERE field != '' or empty or null or what have you?
I know that the constraints on LiQL queries are pretty limited but is there a way to search for something you wear that thing is not empty or "" or null or undefined? For example: SELECT subject FROM messages WHERE subject != '' returns { "status" : "error", "message" : "Invalid query syntax", "data" : { "type" : "error_data", "code" : 604, "developer_message" : "'!=' is not a valid operator for the field 'subject' of the object 'messages'. The valid operators are: matches in: SELECT subject FROM messages WHERE subject != ''", "more_info" : "" }, "metadata" : { } } Even though onhttps://developer.khoros.com/khoroscommunitydevdocs/docs/using-liqlit states that != is a valid operator. Is that documentation wrong or is there a esoteric way to use that which is different than the above query?Solved138Views0likes3CommentsUnable to create post using API
Hi, Recently, I got this error when trying to create a post using the API { "status": "error", "message": "This post contains content that is not permitted in the community. You must remove this content before publishing.", "data": { "type": "error_data", "code": 425, "developer_message": "", "more_info": "" }, "metadata": {} } I follow the API docs from herehttps://developer.khoros.com/khoroscommunitydevdocs/reference/create-a-message Your help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.Solved171Views2likes2CommentsWhat's the easiest way to get the Session Key within a custom component?
My end goal is to be able to Edit / update existing post body text Add tags to a post Add a cover image to a post or just an image to a post (it's an event type, message) Maybe using session keys and curl commands might not be the best solution for this, so if you have a better way, please LMK. That said, I've looked at the various documentation about how to retrieve the session key but I am still a bit confused. If I am in a component, and the user is logged in, is there a simple way to get the session key? Something like appCache.session or some other esoteric method? FULL DISCLOSURE: I'm not so familiar with how to use curl except in a terminal. So even if there's an easier way to edit these things or add tags, please lmk what the easiest way to grab the session key from within a custom component anyway. As there is no public issue tracker (afaik) or reporting workflow (other than support tickets and ideas), I'd like to collect some things that were found trough hour-long trial end error (some including workarounds) so others trying to customize the platform hopefully don't have to jump trough the same hoops as I had to or at least might be able to find some information or workarounds regarding things that don't behave as advertised or expected. This topic is NOT a place to rant about the platform, the devs or the product (it's software after all, and software has bugs, we know that very well...). I will make a new reply to this post for each issue and link them in the topic message for easier access. Hope it helps somebody! PS: If you know about something similar and it's not yet listed below, please feel free to add your own reply to the original topic message using the template below as a rough guideline of what information to provide. If you'd like to comment on a bug, try to reply to that specific "issue" message (so technically a threaded view could be aggregated, it's not right here, I know...) and reference (via permalink!) the issue you're commenting on, otherwise it's going to be very confusing =)... ______ Issues: #1: API v2 functioncount(topic) does not work. #2: API v2 response structure should be normalized. #3:FreeMarker context object apiv2.toJson() fails with "augmented" API response objects. <!-- Issue Template --> <p> <strong>Issue</strong>: #<br /> <strong>Type</strong>: BUG | INCONSISTENCY | FEATURE<br /> <strong>Area</strong>: REST API v1 | REST API v2 | FreeMarker<br /> <strong>Collection</strong>: API collection if applicable<br /> <strong>Platform Version</strong>: <= xx.x (if fixed >= xx.x)<br /> <strong>Summary</strong>: Summary sentence goes here.<br /> <strong>Ping</strong>: @mention a user if applicable<br /> </p> <p><strong>ISSUE SUMMARY</strong>: Short summary of issue, what is expected and what is actually happening.</p> <p>Detailed description/explanation/workaround</p>luk2 years agoBoss1.2KViews12likes20CommentsAdding link to post editor page
